Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy describes activities that are not permitted on the Polst platform, website, and API (the "Service"). It applies to everyone who uses Polst, including account holders and participants. This policy supplements, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.

We may update this policy from time to time to address new risks or requirements. Where a use is not expressly listed here, that does not mean it is permitted; we retain discretion to act against conduct that harms the Service, our users, or third parties.

You may not create, upload, publish, or distribute content that: is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, or harassing; depicts or promotes violence, self-harm, or exploitation; infringes the intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of others; contains malware or malicious code; or is deceptive, misleading, or intended to manipulate audiences.

You are responsible for the content you publish and for ensuring you have the rights necessary to publish it.

You may not use the Service to: manipulate, inflate, or falsify responses or results; submit automated, duplicate, or artificial responses; impersonate any person or organization or misrepresent your affiliation; interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data; scrape, harvest, or collect data other than as expressly permitted; or circumvent security, access controls, or usage limits.

You may not use the Service in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations, or that facilitates any illegal activity.

Because Polst is built on trustworthy audience signal, activities that undermine the authenticity of responses are treated as serious violations. This includes coordinated inauthentic behavior, incentivized manipulation, and any attempt to defeat trust-scoring or bot-detection methods.

We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including removing content, limiting or suspending access, terminating accounts, and reporting activity to law enforcement where required or appropriate. We may take these actions with or without notice, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law.

Our decision not to enforce any provision of this policy in a particular case does not waive our right to enforce it in others.
