Five rules
Make it binary
Two clear options beat five vague ones. Force the trade-off you actually face.
Remove the leading language
If the wording hints at a preferred answer, you are measuring your own bias back to yourself.
Show, do not tell
When the choice is visual, use images. People decide with their eyes, so let them.
Ask one thing
A question that asks two things gets answered as neither. Split it.
Keep the stakes real
Ask about decisions you will actually make. Audiences can sense a throwaway and answer like one.

“Do you love our bold new packaging?”
Leads the witness. Asks for approval, not a choice.
“Which would you pick off the shelf?”
Neutral. Binary. Mirrors the real decision.
When to use a Stream
